American cars with big block V-8's from Chevrolet, Pontiac, Dodge, Plymouth, Ford and Mercury from the 1960's and early 1970's are considered muscle cars, but not Cadillacs and Lincolns from the same time period. They had the same big block V-8. So are they not considered muscle cars because they were so big and heavy? And for that matter, why are station wagons with big block V-8's from that era also considered muscle cars?
