i have a 2000 mitsu galant. everytime i turn right or left it sounds as if there is a wave of water moving around in my dashboard. it has been going on for a few weeks now. i dont know if it is air, or a problem with my engine. i get my oil changed regularly and just passed inspection. the car has 63k miles. what to do? what to do? i just dont want to pay for something that i shouldnt worry about...thanks.

It could be the coolant in the heater core. Run the heater at max for about 20 minutes starting when the car is warmed up. This may help purge any air in the heater core which is what allows the coolant in it to slosh around.

I agree with the responce #3 I too had similar problem I had to open the hood if needed and lift the windshield wipers and remove the vent grill. should only be 2 or so screws. remove this grill and you will find a long trough that you will most likely find water sitting in. There are 2 drains at the bottom that are probably full of decaying leaves. You might beable to pull drain tubes off and blow them out but we just drilled a couple more small holes, you will probably have to do it again cause leaves get in there and build up then block the drainage of water. we had a 96 town and country

Well if it sound like water worry, it's either leaking heater core or evaporator on AC not draining outside but needs to be fixed the water is traped in the plastic they use to move air to different points in your car, sooner or later it will leak out somewhere.

you should have a drain valve on the firewall under the hood. condensation from your air conditioner will cause water to drain out of that vave unless its clogged. try running a wire or hanger through the valve. if their is water in their it will come out

clean out your AC condensate line. It sounds like it's plugged.
