I owe $2,000.00 dollars. What would the interest rate be,how does it accrue, how long would i have to pay if I went the IRS payment plan route? I know I should have them take more out during the year, but if I did, I could not live on my paycheck.

She says she can do this because (she claims) the child stays with her 25% of the time (does visiting on the weekends count) because she feels like she should get money back for helping him with the children from time to time

I have a 401K that is vested for around 100000 US$ and I am allowed to take it after I leave the employer. I do plan to go back to India. Is it possible to take 15,000 $ per year and avoid paying federal and state taxes ( Since Iam out of country and not a resident + it falls with less income per annum). Is there a penalty that I have to pay while taking money out. I will have closed all my bank accounts except this IRA/401K account and so how would I pay the penalty and any taxes that might occur. Please advice.

I do not have my Wageworks expenses automatically deducted from my paycheck. I buy the commuter checks each month from our employee service office and buy my train tickets with these checks. How should I get the tax benefit of this program? Thx.

I recently met someone, who claimed to be a CPA, that told me I will not be audited in Texas unless I am getting a ten thousand dollar refund or more. He told me to file my taxes, keep all of my paperwork and don't worry about an audit since I won't receive that much. Is it really that worry free?

I am paid a monthly amount by a local school for hosting an exchange student in my home. At year-end I am 1099'd and need to report the amount as taxable income. Can I offset this additional income tax with any write-off of expenses incurred, like for providing food, heat, water, etc.?

Though I certainly don't earn much, I made almost six times the amount I made last year - if I can find my W-2 from last year is there a chance I will be able to increase the amount I get back? Or do I need statements from more previous years in order to qualify?

I paid daycare expenses for my son last year. I am letting his father claim him as a dependant, BUT I claimed his daycare expenses (only)... is this legal? I was able to do so on TaxCut this year and last. My son's father and I aren't married, but we live together. My son's father had his taxes done by H&RBlock and was told I can't claim daycare expenses (I PAID!!) if I do not claim him as a dependant. I checked taxcut and the way it's worded says I can claim child care credit on child I am not claiming, Please help.
