I was told and shown that taxes on the home I bought was 3,926. Now I find out the former owner, real estate, lawyer lied and the taxes are 5,000 I would have not purchased the home if I had known. Anything I can do so that these people don't keep doing this to others. Do I have a legal case of fraud.

Thanks

I am a resident alien (not a permanent resident or citizen) working here in US. I will be leaving back to my home country in May and if so, can I file my 2007 tax now itself (in May) instead of waiting till April 2008? I know that I will not be receiving any income here after May since I will not be working here.

I am on disablity right now due to a chronic and longstanding back pain condition. Occasionally I splurge for a massage because it helps so so much. I am wondering that, since this is being done for (mostly) medicincial reasons can I deduct this on my taxes with the rest of my medical deductions?

Im 21 and know little about taxes and what i can and cant do. Anyway i just got a cp2000 in the mail stating i didnt claim some income i had last year. Im a freelance camera operator for television so i recieve many w-2s and 1099s. I waited until the week before the deadline to make sure i got everything and i still didnt. Since i didnt get a 1099 i forogt and never claimed it, it was $4400.00. I am wondering how i can get around paying the 1400 they say i owe. Someone said maybe a scedule c, which is a business write off form. The only thing about that is i dont have any of the reciepts for anything. Can i just do it and hope i dont get audited? Are they going to ask for proof? Please some help because i dont have 1400 laying around for the government. Thanks.
