I have been living in America for 6 months as a permanent resident. I did not work a single day yet. I went to a university for English classes for 3 months. I want to know what are the forms I have to fill. (1040 US individual income, 1040A.....) Thank you.

I know that theoretically I don't have to fill it. I may encounter some problems when applying for my citizenship. So even if my income is 0$ I would like to declare that fact.

Did you receive any US income last year? If not, then you do not have to file a tax return because you have no income to report.

UPDATE...

Do you have a green card? If so, fill out a 1040EZ. Otherwise there are a lot of questions I would have to ask before I could recommend filling out the 1040EZ or the 1040NR EZ.

If you didn't earn income, you don't need to file.
