I did an interview last Thursday and on Monday, I wrote the company a follow up/ thank you letter. When can I expect an answer? Do most company write back or call back when people write a follow up letter? What were your experiences?

I have a client who owes me over $1000.00. It's been well over 45 days, the work (graphics for 20ft banner & web design work) was turned over to them in good faith and I have emails to confirm they received everything. There was a time crunch due to a convention they were attending. In the past they have paid me on time, now they won't even return my emails or calls.

I am being patient and have sent them the invoice 3 times. I'm wondering at what point would be a good time to file a small claims lawsuit against them to collect the money owed. Also, I would like to know if I can include time spent putting the paperword together in the claim. It will take me about an hour and a half to make put everything together. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for your help..

I own a small painting business (my only source of income). I have about 60% of my customers who refuse to pay tax so they give me cash instead. I know this is wrong, but I don't want to loose my customers. What happens when I go to file my taxes (state and federal), and it shows as under $10,000 income for my entire family for the entire year?? I live in the same house as my family, so they pay most of the bills. (another story). Do I still have to file my income taxes as usual, and will I be putting up a red flag for lack of income?? I am loosing sleep over worring about this. Thanks for your time.

Greetings: I am doing a research project on product / business names and would enjoy hearing from the mass public on this subject.

If a business had a name such as “CAKE JUNKIE” “where you can get your fix and get powered by cake” or “Food Junkie” “where you can get your daily fix and get powered” and so on.

What is your true and honest opinion on the business name using the word “JUNKIE” & “FIX” in it?

I thank you for your help in my research project.
