I have a pretty good idea on how the whole process works, but, I see holes in the whole thing. There is to much opportunity to be taken advantage of. How can I patent and license my ideas without having to spend a ton of money. And avoid being taken advantage of?

You're right, it's way too easy to take advantage of you as an inventor. If you present your idea to a company and they like it, they will probably decline your offer and quietly start using it without paying you. Then you'll have to sue them to get your money. You can keep control by starting your own company, but any new company has a very high risk of failure, especially if it's based on a new and unproven product. Unfortunately, there's no good answer.
