I am thinking about starting an online data entry business, to give home mothers and parents a chance to make money from home. Do anyone know what i need to do to get started? Should I start contacting different companies asking if they will hire qualified people to work for them from home?

I have my own business as a Personal Improvement Coach and Business Communications Consultant specializing in relationships and conflict resolution. I do one-on-one coaching, corporate team building, and training seminars.

I am currently under-funded and I don't have the money for conventional advertising campaigns such as print, radio, or TV. Plus I don't believe that conventional advertising fits me or my business model.

I have considered alternative methods such as podcasts and was wondering if there was anybody out there who had information about how best to get started with podcasts. Or other inexpensive and alternative methods of marketing my services?

I do have an existing website at www.endlesspossibilitiesconsulting.com.

My bugbear is this Ltd. business, what does it really mean, what are the benefits, of starting a ltd co up and basically am I gonna be poor for the rest of my life. Help me please, as my health is fading fast, I'm already on Lithium and effexor, and Sleeping tabs.

The basics are that businesses no longer buy health care, but instead give the cash value of that coverage to employees who go purchase their own (private) insurance.

Then, after two years of this, the businesses simply pay into a pool based on their number of full-time employees and revenue.

There are obviously a lot of details I don't have, but it sounds like it might satisfy those who hate all things government sponsored (you're still buying private insurance) as well as business who are being crushed under the burden of providing health care.

My son and his friend is starting a small business. I am going to try to the books for them until they get on their feet. I have Microsoft 2003, but I am wondering if there is a business program out there that you do not have to use several programs to keep contacts, moneis paid, outgoing, ets. I have heard there are such programs that have tutorials and help coach you. I have kept the books before but not for a long time.
Thank you for all your help.

I do some of the job but not all of them, i am nice to them, i don't bully my staff, and don't over work them, i permit them to travel if there is urgent need for them to.

My friend is an experienced freelance journalist and plans to set up a business offering writing services - everything from feature articles for newspapers to brochure copy for corporations, from editing company reports to writing press releases, plus production management (overseeing designers, photographers and printers). Plus she has some plans to write and publish gift books on her own account. She's been working under her own name but feels she needs more of a 'corporate' name, but can't think of one that either sums up what she does without being too long, or that is both attractive yet vague enough to cover anything. Any ideas welcome!

Due to recent job loss, I am having to move out of state and I am unable to take my household items/furniture/barbie collection/TV's and other items with me. I want to get the best value I can for my items and I am faced with either having a huge moving sale or having an auction service take everything. Since this is the weekend before Christmas and I live in Northern Michigan, I don't know how a moving sale would work and since I live in an apartment, I would have to open my home up for everyone to pick through. I am planning on leaving in one week, and I don't know what I should do. One auction place offered me a buyout for $900 for everything, but that's almost giving my stuff away. The other auction place will pick up everything and hold an estate sale in January, and after thier 30% cut, I get the rest, and they do have a good reputation according to the Better Business Bureau. I feel I would get a better value, but I hate leaving my stuff behind. Any advice??

Has anyone else noticed this? You can buy something from some guys ebay store for $60 but you have to pay $30 shipping where as you could buy the same thing from a different seller and only pay $10 shipping but they also want $80 for the same product. these aren't actual stats but I see stuff like this all the time when browsing ebay, what do you think?
