If teenagers took finance classes in high school and learned how to properly balance a checkbook, maintain good credit, investing in stocks/bonds, and mortagages would poverty levels slowly fade away? Is the lack of educating children on money the reason that people are poor? Opinions please.

I have a debit Mastercard through Key Bank. I made a credit card purchase online with it about 2 weeks ago, but the money hasn't been taken from my account, and it's not in my pending transactions. But other transactions have gone through after that one. How long can it take for the account to be debited?

If you train yourself to carry lots of money without spending it, will it make your a better saver in the future? I know most people cant do this and if they did, its probobly suicide for their money. My main point here is to tell parents to train their children not to fall into any dept problems when they grow up. I've read too much "How can I pay my $10000 dept?" questions today so I'm concerned about these people as role models for children.

I need a quick loan for the sum of $2,000, but I have no credit supposedly!! I already went to CitiFinancial and Eastern Credit Union and they told me, "I did not pass"!! As if you were taking a test or something. It's true I have "no credit", cuz I don't want any credit cards, it will get me in deep trouble. I have applied to alot of credit cards, but I keep getting denied. So, the way I think, it's better like that, cuz it's not meant for me to have any credit cards!! Please help....I need to make a mortgage payment right away or they will take my house away!! I only owe one payment, that is February!! I have been keeping in touch with them to let them know we are having financial difficulties, which unfortunately is true!! HELP....!!! Sincerely, Yvette

£52 as an average does not take into account what 3 people paid for 5 months and when another person joined the house what 4 people should have paid for the remaining 7 months.
Assuming the useage is the same per person, what would it have cost for these amounts of people over these periods.

Someone has offered $300 per transaction to cash checks that would be mailed to me and wire the money, minus my fee, to them. They want nothing from me but my name, phone number, address, and email. I have given them nothing yet...... Should I? The company contacting me is in the UK.

Instead of being trustworthy and pay bills when you got the money for that month. How stupid is that to have due date every month for our bills.

I can't afford an attorney (if I could, I wouldn't have to file bankruptcy), but I'm pretty smart and I have heard of people filing their own. That cuts out the attorney fees and leaves the filing/court fees which can be paid in installments. So I am wondering if anyone else has filed on their own and how hard it was. Thanks!
