If so, after how long?

We've got a check that's now about 4 months old, that despite our banterings, the company has not yet deposited. I'm just wondering how long they can keep this up, and still have the check be valid.

Not an intuitive layout.
Help menu sucks.
Doesn't import bank transaction histories as appears in bank ledger.

I am in my early 30's. My home is paid for and currently, even with the slumping real estate market, is still worth $500,000. I have no credit card debt, no car payments, however, my credit is a little 'beat-up'. I am self-employed and generate approximately $50,0000/year in profits from my business. Now what? How can i use the equity in my home to, perhaps, generate additional income? What would be the best move now? Any ideas and suggestions?

I am considering buying a new car but don't want to cut myself short every month as far as disposable income is concerned. I know that it depends on the person, but how much of your net monthly income should you have left over after all of your bills have been paid? Dollar amount or percentage answer will do.

PLEASE ONLY REPLY IF YOU HAVE!! - I have just posted this question and mostly had negative comments from people who have never done it. I am considering buying a car next year and I WOULD LIKE TO ENJOY SOME OF MY MONEY WHILE I AM PHYSICALLY ABLE TO. I might not be able to drive when I am a pensioner for one reason or another. Sorry to shout but some people aren't acutally reading my comments.

I am considerering unlocking some of my pension (just enough to buy a nice small second hand car) and would like to only hear from anyone who has released some of their pension. Most of you will advise against it but as I can't normally afford to treat myself (as I have a family) I would like to enjoy some of the money while I am still young enough to. What's the point of having the money later if I am physically not able to enjoy it.

my partners parents have offered to give me some money (£800) to pay of an outstanding debt
this is fantastic - and i cant believe they have offered it
the problem now is how can we pay the bill without messing around and it taking ages
ive got to pay it using a Girobank Payment Slip
so i can either go to the bank/post office with £800 and pay it
my partners dad wants to pay it at the post office with his card on saturday morning, and im not too sure if he can do this or not with the bill account being in my name, and somebody else paying for it on their card?
the easiest way i thought it would be was to put the money in my bank account (would take 3-5 working days) and then for me to pay it using my card
Any suggestions?????
they want to know by saturday
its giving me a headache
so i thought id ask on here! :)

I don't have the best money management system. It seems like every month, no -- every check runs out quickly. I have so many bills and such, but I know I should have more than I do.

I'd like some advice on how to keep myself on track and ways I can stop my excessive spending. I don't splurge on large, expensive things, I just seem to spend my money on little things like food or little knick knacks, a $10 item here and there, etc. I spend it when I don't even have it! Help me!

What are some of your management systems? Do any of you use spreadsheets or programs, or do you have a written system or SOME TYPE OF WAY to remind yourself how important it is to SAVE?

I know some of you might think I'm crazy, but I am very aware of my financial situation. At the same time, I'm ignorant and often times I'm in denial. It's very hard to snap out of it. Any words of encouragement? Thanks.

I would like to save up a sum of money to start a business but conventional wisdom says I should put as much towards my debt as possible. My only debt is student loans and my mortgage, but its ALOT. Some advice?
