I have some money coming into my UK bank account next week and my bank says it will take 4-5 working days to get to Spain. This seems like a long time to me.... is there any way that I can get it there any quicker?

ask your bank about a telegraphic transfer. Some banks charge a small fee depending on the amount you wish to send.

telegraphic transfer you will need your IBAN bank number 26 digits and letters long plus your Bic or swift code, it takes this long because of new money laundering procedures introduced by the EEC. on 01/01/2007 cant get around it other than to fly to Spain to pick up in cash The cost using western union is horrendous.

It depends how much money you are looking to transfer, if its more then £3000 then you will have to bank transfer it, if its more than £6000, then you will have forms to complete for the money laundering rules, no quick way round that especially with the problems Spain has with money laundering and drugs

Go to Forex and send through Money Gram. The money arrives few minutes after transaction. The money can be retrieved from any bank or forex branch that has money gram services.

Western Union or Moneygram are both widely available.....Moneygram is used in all UK post offices and Spain's Banco Popular so might be the easiest?!
