Personal Finance - September 2006

I came to work for my previous supervisor when she opened up her own business. It was much closer to home and I enjoy working with her. The problem is, I took a pay cut and now have no insurance. I knew this when I accepted, but she was going to try to have those issues resolved within 1 year and I would be compensated. However, things have not been that great. I have been here for a little over a year. No raise and no insurance. I don't think those will be availabel for quite some time now. I was recently offered a position with a competetor making more money and full benefits. I feel bad about the thought of leaving, but I do have a family to take care of. Should I stick it out or should I bail now? Didn't mention that this lady gave me a job several years ago when I truly was down and out and needed one really bad. We have made a great team and I feel terrible about leaving her. She had a heart attack a few months back and I would feel terrible if I stressed her.

hi, i recently started my new job and got my first pay packet this week. my net income before tax is £1,025 per month. on this i was taxed £225 and paid £66 approx on national insurance. so about 30% of my wages were taken. im 19, is this the correct amount i should be paying or could i be on emergency tax? id be really grateful for any advice.

Im always broke and I dont even know why then I look at my account I dont even remeber buying some of the things. What can I do to control my money do you think I should leave my Debit card at home please what should I do I always ask people to borrow money cause I always waste all of mines then when I get my paycheck it happens all over again.

I want to move out sometime next year and find an apartment/house for rent, for me & my daughter and I just don't know for sure is it possible financially to be able to pay rent and maintain my car note & insurance I have on it. Anyone have any suggestions or comments on what I should do?? My car note is currently $350.00 and my insurance is $245.00 a month. I'm considering re-financing my car to see if that will lower the payments and precentage rate. I really need to move though and it looks as though I can't get rid of my car, because it's being financed. So please please any advice, suggestions or comments on this will be greatly appreciated.

I wonder if I should beleive these award notifications, I received an e-mail today informing me that I am one of the three (3) lucky winners in the ROYAL PEAK RAFFLE DRAW held on 1ST of SEPTEMBER 2006. And that " All three(3) winning email addresses were selected randomly from over One Million (1,000,000) email addresses. Your email address emerged alongside 2 others as a 3rd category winner in this month's draw.
Consequently, you have therefore been approved for a total pay out of "One-million two hundred thousand pounds only" (£1,200,000). " and they give me three different numbers ( raffle, serial, and a draw number ). Please help me. Do you think it is another spam ? shall I trust them ? contact them by e-mail ? or just disregard the e-mail ?

a way to get your money for it, or are you just out of luck unless you find who did it? and what can you do about it if you know who did? i heard if you have one and you try and cash it, even not knowing its counterfeit, they take it from you, and you are out that money, thats crap!
