I wonder if I should beleive these award notifications, I received an e-mail today informing me that I am one of the three (3) lucky winners in the ROYAL PEAK RAFFLE DRAW held on 1ST of SEPTEMBER 2006. And that " All three(3) winning email addresses were selected randomly from over One Million (1,000,000) email addresses. Your email address emerged alongside 2 others as a 3rd category winner in this month's draw.
Consequently, you have therefore been approved for a total pay out of "One-million two hundred thousand pounds only" (£1,200,000). " and they give me three different numbers ( raffle, serial, and a draw number ). Please help me. Do you think it is another spam ? shall I trust them ? contact them by e-mail ? or just disregard the e-mail ?
Best regards.

First rule. In order to win you have to play. Nobody will submit a lottery ticket for you.

2) It is a well known scan in banking world. (I know because I work for one). They eather will ask you to pay them for the cost of transferring funds to your account or they will send you a check that you will have to deposit and than send back x amount of money thought Western Union. The check that you deposited is good for nothing.

3) NEVER givout ony personal informations over the internet unless you know the comany and you entered their website directly by typing ther address in the browser

I have received several similar emails during the past couple of weeks and many before. I also sometimes get them in snail mail. It is hard to believe that I have won so many lotteries when I did not even enter them. Your email address is on a mailing list and everyone on that mailing list is getting the same email as you did. Just delete it. Or you can follow through and send them more money which they will ask for and get on another sucker list.

It's a scam. You can't win if you didn't enter. They want your bank account number to deposit the winnings, right? I promise they'll make withdrawals. Or you have to send money to pay the taxes on it before they send it. Taxes are paid from a portion of the winnings, not beforehand.

DID YOU ENTER THE DRAWING? HOW DID THEY GET YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS? DO YOU KNOW THIS COMPANY? DO YOU HAVE GOOD VIRUS PROTECTION? IT'S YOUR CALL BUT DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH. GOOD LUCK, THOUGH!
