Ashland Mortgage Corp.
3826 N. Ashland Ave.
Chicago, IL. 60613
Steven E. Barleben

Mortgage banking licensing - MB 0006016
Renewal Institution

I don't know if this is the one you are talking about. If it isn't click on the link and then click on - MB Licensee List (located on the right side of the page) and look through the listing for the one you are looking for.

You can also check on a mortgage co by contacting the following:

Commissioner of Banks
310 S. Michigan Ave.
Rm 2130
Chicago, IL 60604
(312) 793-3000
www.obre.state.il.us

If that is the company you were asking about, it looks like they are licensed. The BBB says that they have been in business since 2002 and no complaints in the last 36 months. But I would recommend contacting the Commissioner of Banks that I listed above and request more info about that company.

call the Better Business Bureau and they can give you information on that which maybe positive or negative. Do that before you contact this company. You do not want tto be taken. I have a good Mortgage Man. If you are looking to buy a home etc in Indiana let me know. I can find out if he deals with Illinois or not.
