a way to get your money for it, or are you just out of luck unless you find who did it? and what can you do about it if you know who did? i heard if you have one and you try and cash it, even not knowing its counterfeit, they take it from you, and you are out that money, thats crap!

Don't take it in the first place. You get one, you're out the dough.

Good counterfeit bills are RARE, so if you take one you're pretty much SOL.

Unless you catch the person that passed it, you are out of the money. That's why it is best to be able to tell the difference, so that the person is unawares and can be arrested on the spot. You should call the Secret Service if you find one.

you are just out of luck....but most ppl try to cut their losses and try and pass it off at the gas station or something, but there are a few honest ppl out there.

if you pass a dodgy note knowingly or un-knowingly the shop keeoer keeps it , informs the police and you are out of pocket and could be prosecuted
