Click on the link that I've added, then click on Owners.

On the next page click on Find Property then click on the state you want to look in. Then just enter your name and click go.

You can also click on MissingMoney.

It is a free search site.

I have found missing stuff for myself about a year ago.

Most states have an abandoned assets department. Go to the web site of the state you are interested in and search for abandoned assets. They will take some information from you and then do a search of their data base.
