I still pick pennies up, they still value for me, it just makes me happy to find money, pennies are still spendable, right? I just recently read something on AOL and wanted to ask this question here in the forum. Your answers are valued, thank you all in advance. Please no nasty answers, this is a genuine question. :)

I live w/ my grandmother. I want to move out but I don't have a car. I have been trying to save to get a car first. I am temping and freelance writing and have been waiting to get permanent job before I move out. However I can't take living there anylonger. I am afraid if I move out first I will not be able to save up enough money to get a decent car. What should I do?

I found out recently that the when you receive bank charges for say missing a direct debit by not having sufficient funds in your account, resulting in receiving a letter which tells you you;ve been charges £30...putting you further in debt...well this is illegal !

Go to this website, I used it to guide me through process ! Register to use the Forum ! and gain access to all the relevant documents !

http://www.penaltycharges.co.uk/

You're allowed to go back over the last 6 years and claim back all the charges that you've recieved ! It's easy...write to the bank asking for the last 6 years bank statements (normally costs £10), add up all the charges then write to the bank asking for the money back. If they refuse, take them to the samll claims court wher you can add on 8% interest for each cost plus court charges !

I have just taken the Halifax to court for £4850 and won !

It is illegal for them to make the charges if they are a profit making business !

My son is the beneficiary on the plan. Can he just go to the company I work for and tell them he wants the money?
Does he have to wait a certain period of time?
What happens?

I have dated the same man for the last 4 years and he keeps all of his financial stuff secret. We never discuss money. His ex wife does his taxes and knows all of his financial info. She also does everyone in his family's taxes. She works for an accountant, but in what capacity, I do not know.
I am not as secretive, but have decided if he is going to be this way, my money issues is none of his business. He asks me about personal information from time to time. I never kept things so tight lipped until I met him. I think if we ever combine as a committed couple, he should be more open about these things. I believe he spends increadible amounts of money on his ex and the kids. Its just crazy. They are divorced x 6 years and she is remarried. Its almost like he is afraid I am going to find out something. Sometimes curiosity gets to me, but I ignore the urge to snoop.
I didnt even tell him I bought a new cell phone because I am aggrivated over his secretness. How would you handle it

Hey, I've got a card from my bank which has the VISA logo on it but which is a debit card. There's many sites online where you can use a credit card to pay for things, but I don't have one, so am I sunk since I only have my debit card? Or is it possible to use that to pay for purchases online, and if so, how?

I have all sorts of debt. 3 closed checking accounts and one closed savings account, a closed credit card account, and four bounced checks. Does anyone know of a solid debt consolidation firm that can help me? Most won't handle overdrawn bank accounts, and I can't find one for the life of me. The total debt is somewhere around $7,000. The sad thing is that I am a college student who got in trouble with gambling, and now I'm trying to come clean. Please advise! Thanks in advance!
