Ok..my mother is going through a divorce and one prospective lawyer charged a credit card (without the physical card) before my mother signed the retainer agreement. Now, we got a refund but in a form of a check from the attorneys (check from CitiBank). Since my mother doesn't want my stepfather to later claim 50% of that money she wants to cash it in my bank acct is this possible given that she will be there with me in the bank?

Ok I lent and (ex-boyfriend) he was not my boyfriend at the time, money because his liscence was suspended and he needed the money to get it back. At the time I lent him the money he was not employed but was going to be starting a job soon, which is why I lent him the money ( so he would be able to get to work) when I lent him the money we had a verbal agreement that he would pay me back the money once he started working, he has been working for about a month now, and he gets paid every week. He has yet to say anything giving me my money back and everytime he gets paid he gets something new ( non-necessity items) I feel like I should not have to ask for my money back but it looks like I am going to have to, how do I go about this without getting into any akward situation or confrontations?

What are the reasons behind people needing second incomes?
Is it because companies are not paying employee's what they are worth?
Is it because people enter into financial comittments they can't afford?

Is it the NOW culture?

When people look for second incomes - do they look for EASY money?

Why do people in the UK expect to pay nothing for the services provided by Banks? They expect to write cheques for free, use cash machines in locations convenient for them for free, have direct debits and standing orders for free, have a statement printed and posted to them every month for free, have a branch that they can pop into whenever they want for free, have a debit card for free?
Most of them think the Bank makes money out of there few hundred pound they pay in and take out each week . Are they retards or what?

I am a christian but this question is just about money so don't say you are a millionaire if you mean Jesus although I agree.
Answer only if you are a financial millionaire. Don't say you are if you're not and don't say you're not if you are. No one will know who you are anyway.

I have been wasting my money for so long that I don't know how to stop. I see money in my bank account and say, what the heck this $10 isn't going to make a difference. But I do that about 10 times a day! I end up spending more then I have. I buy anything and everything that I want. I end up not having enough money for bills. I'm almost 30 years old and I don't have any savings. Does anyone have any ideas on how to manage money? Or fun, cheap ways to have fun. I find I spend most of my money on entertainment and food.

I wrote a check to Target for my credit card payment. The check was retured and my bank charged me $35. I called Target today and told them I had a returned check and wanted to make good on it. The guy said all I had to do what make a payment by phone. I asked was there a return check fee and he said, "NO". So I made a payment over the phone and he said the other check would be voided. Is this true? I thought they would re-deposit it or even send it to collections. Should I call and ask someone else?
