Go see an investment specialist at your bank. You need professional help, not a bunch of teenagers on Yahoo giving you stupid advice.

It depends on many factors which you have not included, are you single, do you have a spouse, or children? Where do you live? Are you accustom to living extravagantly, or modest? Do you plan on do some type of work to keep busy or just travel and live leisurely? I could easily live on that amount but i live in a lower income part of the country and I live well below what they consider the "poverty level" supporting me and my kids alone. It is not easy but You cope. If you budget your money income and out going you could live comfortably but if you worked your retirement up to this level at the age of 45 you are probably accustom to a higher standard than I am. It all depends on how you want to live and where. Good luck in you r retirement and enjoy those you love now that you have the time to invest in them!!

I could have a ball with that kinda money. It depends on what kinda lifestyle you had when you were getting a salary.
