I agree with some of the other posters. They probably will try to take the car. The longer you put off talking to them the worse it will be.

I wanted to add that you might go to your local DHS office and ask them what they can do to help. They may be able to give you food stamps, help paying your electric bill, put you on the lifeline program where most of your phone bill is paid. Or any other program that they may have that you would qualify for.

They also have lists of different charities, like Catholic Charities, that may help with your household bills and maybe(?) getting you caught up on your car payment.

If you can do that, it may free up enough money that you can get current with your payments (or aid you in catching up) and stay current.

DHS may help, or know someone that will, since you need the vehicle for medial reasons. (since public or donated transportation time is just not available in all areas)

Good luck to you.

They don't care about your disability......just your payments. They can and probably will take your car if you don't make some kind of payment or arrangements with them.

heck yea! why not. If you are three months behind then they already gave you a chance. I would call the company and find out if there is something you can work out.

Yes they can, although they may not if you explain your situation. I would recommend trying to make some payments to show good faith... but be aware you may lose your car!
