You don't plan ahead, and your pay-pocket is not sufficient. Make a budget of what you want to use your money for and stick to the budget once you receive the pay good luck

that is typical Amrican nowaday, they are living large
spending less than you make
control the urge of buying thing you do not need
need:food,gas,insurance,rent or mortgage,utilities
want:fansy car,fansy cloth,latte,eatout every day
to break the cycle, save 1000-2000 to cash fund for emergency in case car broke down,house need to be fix.
set aside 10-15% to 401k
I'd done that.you could too. learn how to invest the right way,it is hard but attainable. I can do it, you should try

I accumulate in good amount in 401k at the young age.I could share with you. when consider invest in stock market. you should consider basic 3 things:

fundamental analysis==(economic data,finincial health, management, business model, competetion)>>what to buy

technical analysis==(chart+indicator)>> when to buy

Sentiment/schycho analysis==>>mood of investor, Contrarian point of view.
Market cycle===>> check out book Trader Almanac by jeff hirsch will give you inside stuff
When you combine 3 thing, It is one of the powerful knowledge goinh with you for the rest of your live

It sounds like you have a small problem with impulse-buying! My Advise: Keep away from stores if you have money with unless there`s something you vitally need! Before you buy anything think through, do you NEED this? If it`s something expensive, or at least moderatly over-priced, don`t buy it, look around first!

1. you don't work enough hours so your checks are small
2. your hourly wage is low so your checks are small
3. you don't have a realistic budget
4. you are living beyond your means
