Shredding old papers with account info on them and stuff. Do I need to shred papers associated with past accounts that have been closed by now? Could someone get my information or do something with those old account#s? Just want to be safe but not over paranoid. And what about loan account invoices? I figure no one could do anything with those accounts because they're just loans I'm paying off. What do you think? To shred or not to shred? And what is the liklihood of someone going through my trash and finding unshredded info that can be used to steal my identity or something?

Hi all,

I have a large amount of 500 euro notes to change into sterling. I obtained them from my sister who lives and works (freelance) overseas. I also have the receipt from the organisation who paid her the money as well as a letter of authority, from my sister.

The problem is most high street travel agents, banks etc and Post Office won't exchange them. Various reasons include, they don't deal in 500 euro notes so don't accept them, i never received the notes from them initially. I can exchange them at one high street travel agent, but they would need to go to their Head Office for security checks - serial numbers etc. I am happy to do this but my DVLA paperwork (one of their proof of address requirements) doesn't correspond to my current address (recently moved and have yet to update my drivers licence). Anyone have a quick solution. The notes are definately genuine and there is no laundering involved.

Thanks

We have a soda machine in our office building at work. It's broken. We are out of contract with the distributor and we cannot get it fixed without paying A LOT of money. Our company's maintenance men do not work on our appliances. So, whenever anyone wants a soda, we have to use the key to open the door. We drop our money in the coin box on the inside of the door. Take our soda and lock-up the machine again until someone else wants a soda. This is such a pain.
Does anyone have any suggestions for my boss and I on what we can do about our situation. Are there any easier ways to sell sodas rather than using this machine? We use this soda money to by coffee for the office. Thanks guys. All serious ideas are appreciated.

...without being rude. The thing is that a few of us take turns covering for her lunch and she's gone for 1 1/2 hr to 2hrs at a time.
I'm thinking of maybe send her an email 1:1 w/o copying everyone or should I just send it as a group? I don't want her to feel like we're attacking her and we don't want to get her in trouble by telling her boss.

Thoughts?
What should the email say?

Thank you.

Is their any policy on Half.com saying that the package must arrive within 2 weeks? I've gone all over the website and the only shipping policy I have found was that the package must be mailed within 72 hrs. I have the receipt to prove that.
Someone brought a book from me off of Half.com. According to half.com's estimation the book was suppose to arrive at the latest on 4/16. She messaged me on 4/20. I told her that I mailed before the 72 hour deadline and I showed her the address. 2 and a half weeks later she asks where the book is and demands her money back. I told her that i contacted the post office and the post office is trying to find the book. She then e-mailed me yesterday saying that I'd better refund her money because she doesn't want to file a claim but will if she has to. Then she mentioned the 2 week policy contract. I have not found any policy like that. Also her behavior seems a little suspicious. What do you think?

This question may sound dumb but I recently received a phone call from a debt collector stating that they wanted to set up a payment plan for my credit card. Funny thing is, they called from a cellular number. When I tried calling the number back I got a funny signal stating that the call could not go through. How could they have gotten my information? Could they have been masking their regular number to get someone to answer their call?

I had some stable job history From 1975 to 2005. Mention not from any agencies.
Recently, I am having a problem trying keep a job. When I apply an agent gets in some how. It last from one-day to ninety-days. It sucks. It is hard to avoid these agencies.
Are you in the boat? If yes, say your location.
Thanks.

Which is least expensive: UPS ground, Air, train, or bus? I am relocating from California to Texas. Renting a U-haul truck is very expensive considering the gas and the rental itself.
