I have received a letter in the mail from "Primary Lottery Gaming Corporation" Stating I have won som money. Along with the letter was a check for $3,750.00. I called the number on the letter and they said I need to cash or deposit the check and send them the taxes that are dues for the amount that I have won. The Check looks legit, however, I am very nervous about cashing it. Does this sound legitimate?

Ok here is the deal, I have been looking to buy PS3's in bulk for my store and I went to Alibaba.com and found a supposed lady who has a trading company who is supposedly trust pass certified. The offer she gave me on 10 Ps3's and 50 ps 3 games was the best deal I have ever heard of and it was under 3,000 dollars. Now her company profile says she is in Maryland, USA. But when I was Instant messaging with her and asking her for her company name she never gave me the name again and said she was in UK and it was getting really late and signed off....This has left me wondering..What to do next. I would like to verify that this is completely legitimate, before I screw away that money. Where do I go to find out about this company? Please I hope someone knows cuz I am lost here!

I recently went to a PC shop (UK) and had a custom PC built. The design of the PC was designed to a specific requirement; i required a specific performance increase in one program. I asked the shop technician to investigate and provide a quote on a PC that give me this performance increase. Eventually the techician quoted a PC that cost over £3000. However the PC didn't show any difference. He then suggested a different graphics card at the cost of £900 adding that this would definately increase the performance , i puchased this but still no difference. I then went back and asked for a refund on the second graphics card (£900) as it clearly made no difference to the previous card that only cost £300. He's now refusing to give me a refund, dispite clearly seeing it made no difference.

So, do i have any legal stance to demand a refund?

I'm working in a leading group of companies in south india for the past 12 years I've now got a better opportunity in another company and I've submitted my resignation about six weeks back. Though there is no formal notice period, I've worked for about 45 days after submitting my resignation. But there is no sign of me getting relieved from the company. Can you just ditch the company and take up my new assignment. Will I get my dues if I leavy without proper relieving order. Please help. Thanks

A distributor sells 2 kinds of fridge, an imported model on which federal taxes increase the price by 15% & a domestic model on which the taxes increase the price by only 5 %. A pair, consisting of one of each kind of fridge, cost (before taxes) $1200 & the difference in their prices (after taxes) is $214. What is the cost of each fridge, given that the price of the imported model is the larger?

We have 10 IT staff and it doesn't seem enough. My boss is going to the Exec staff meeting next week and I'm suppose to come up with justification for hiring 5 more people. Help! We have around 500 accounts, write code for 15 web applications and support 300 nodes at 10 sites.
I don't have very much stats on help desk calls or user downtime. Can someone help me when senior management asks, "Why do you need more staff?"

I have a new, patent-pending design that is easily worth millions both initially and over the 20-yr. lifespan of the patent. I don't really want to start a company, but want others to do the millions of details, management, etc. while I keep some benefits. It'd be easiest to just sell my rights for a few million; right now, I am nearly broke. But the future value will be far more, for others. Would you just settle and retire, or keep an active director in other's management of the whole marketing/sales/investors/legal/accounting details? If a LLC, what percentage of profits would you keep in return for handing over 90% ownership?

So do clothing stores like Kohls, The Buckle, American Eagle, etc. take checks? And say my boyfriend has the checkbook...can I just take some more checks and use them or do they need to be used in order?

I just got one of those chain letters with the 5 cents attached to it. The one where you send $10 dollars to the person on the top of the list. You also have to send 200 copies of the letter out to 200 people with 5 cents stuck to it (to get attention from the reader).
It's suppose to cost just over $200 to do it and you should expect $70,000 to come in the mail over the next few months.
Has anyone ever done this particular chain letter? What kind of money did you receive (if any)?
I am willing to part with $200 because I understand that it is a gamble and a once off.
