Your best bet is to contact your local fire department. It is pretty common that they will offer CPR classes for VERY low cost (~$15) or free.

Your next best bet would be to contact your local YMCA or Parks & Recreation department. They may also have classes.

The American Red Cross may be another resource for you as many offer classes for the community. There's probably some small cost attached.

CERTIFICATION costs money- free or cheap CPR classes are informational, and useful- but usually not 'certified'.

The easiest certification is American Red Cross- http://www.redcross.org to find your local chapter.

What about just learning it from a book? It won't certify you but it'll tell you what you need to know.
