I think by this he means that the Chinese are copying his product EXTREMELY(and yes this is not a stereotype but the fact) similarly and hence are bringing down his/her own sales and maybe the name of the ompany.
What you can do is clearly establish how unique your product is over others and what better it can do.
Better up on the customer support and have an amazing community/forum in your website for people to feel as if their opinions and suggestions do indeed matter.

hey bro....global business is the "word"..if you dont change with the times, you will run down your business with a quickness....dont play the Blame game, that is your business and you need to do what you have to do to stay competitive. in the 80's the Japanese were the escape goat for the blame game....we had an awesome economy in the 90's and no one was getting blamed.....now that the economy is getting dinged....it's because of the Chinese???? Why dont you find out what chinese companies are offering and see if you can integrate that in your line of business....you might improve your business by doing that!

Go to Congress.org and write to all of your politicians, and media outlets, and ask them to enact fair trading laws.
Ask your employees to do the same.
It can help, my husband works part time for an ecology Lab that is partly funded by the government. It came days away from being shut down. But because of a letter writing campaign it will probably be safe for another few years.

Most importantly buy American whenever possible.

You are not specific enough. Are you talking about importing? Or are they breaking into your business in the middle of the night? If it's the first write and call your politicians and explain your issues and threaten with your votes. If it's the second call the cops.

nope if you mean as a result of trade from china no the government is behind this and the government could not care less about you .
any semi intelligent person can see that we can not compete with china in terms of cost of a product . they also copy things and so save billions of dollars not having to learn to make the product themselves.
if the government is not behind this on its own then it must be Satan.

Simple!!! Creativity and innovation
Make sure that no one else sells your unique product/service and keep evolving. When changing a product/service rapidly they can't copy and if they do they copy your old product and not your new one
Good luck ;-)
