Check with the post office and find how who's the owner of the box number you sent the money to.

Hopefully the cost of this lesson was not too expensive.
PS - anyone offering you 'something for nothing' is conning you ...
You can't win Lotteries without buying a ticket (and no Lottery organisation has means of looking up ticket holders email addresses anyway), Business Cheques drawn on Nigerian Banks are all forgeries ... and no, your WON'T get a 50" Sanyo TV for £10 or an iPod for £1 even if you do persuade all your family and friends to send off their money too ..

Report it to the Police. If you are in England they are probably too busy checking speed camera film to get off their arses and catch a criminal but if you can catch a policeman who is feeling a bit bored with routine maybe you can get them to look into it.
They must have more powers to trace PO Box users than the general public has.

If you can prove that you sent this person money, the supervisor at the post office may be able to help you. They will not give you the person's address, but they will help you to contact this person ,or they may even do it for you,. Good luck.

You should probably speak with the post office. However, if they can't help you then maybe you should try to contact the Better Business Bureau. If that doesn't help, please don't send anymore money

They'd have to be pretty short to fit in one of those boxes. I think someone is just pulling your leg.
