It's basically that if you put a frog in water and brought it to the boil the frog would stay there till it died , but if you put in boiling water it would jump out just like the rest of us !!

If you put a frog in some water and heat it very slowly he will stay put til he boils to death.

If you put a frog in a pot of cold water, and slowly turn up the heat, it will stay in the water, even though it will die, (cooked).
An excellent example of pay attention to your changing surroundings, otherwise, there could be some dire consequences
