Target hires 16 and up...besides they are the crappiest place ever to work.

If you're too young to get a job try freelancing:
- start your own Lawn Maintenance company (mow lawns, pull weeds, water grass when people are out of town, etc.)
- Daycare - you can babysit at your age.
- Advertise that you're looking ( on those bulletin boards usually at grocery stores). This should impress a few people by showing you are eager to work.
- Offer to do jobs even if they're only for the day or for a week - like helping a housepainter.

You don't have to work for the whole summer, so enjoy!

Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit. I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long. Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring. What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at. Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants.

i taught myself how to fix computers and its great part time income. find something you want to learn more about and talk to a shop about being a beginner. whether it woodowrking, computers, bicycles or whatever, start at the bottom, express a desire to learn and a door will open if you try. good luck.
