I write for a government contracting best practices site, http://government.onvia.com, which has a ton of useful articles about U.S. government contracts and is a great resource for contractors at all levels of experience. From the site you can also submit an email to ask the Vice President of the company any specific questions you have--he's got decades of experience working with the government and knows it all. I'd also recommend the FAR as a must-have document for all government contractors. It's federal regulations so it's a hard read, but it's all in there! Other good sites are the Small Business Association, www.sba.gov, and www.fedbizopps.gov. Above all I would recommend going to your local Procurement Technical Assistance Center, or PTAC. Visit www.aptac-us.org for more information on PTACs and to find one in your area. Good luck!

I have many years working as a Government Contracting Officer both in Washington DC and overseas for the Department Of Defense (DOD), the US State Department and US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and frequently use the internet with bookmarks to research. Basically there is NO ONE WEBSITE and it I really depends what your specific QUESTION(s) you are looking for. Google is an excellent place to start but here are a few of my bookmarks: USAF FAR Site and GSA Federal Acquisition Regulation if I cannot find what I am looking for in my printed FAR, FedBizOpps, GSA Schedules etc
