I'm more familiar with saying I GOT THIS FOR 2 G's ($2,000)... however this morning i came across an episode of The Sopranos and Vito tells Tony Soprano "I'll give you 200K ($200,000) and no one has to know about it."

If "G" stands for GRAND as in 2G's which would be $2,000... then what does "K" stand for?

anyone get the feeling some buyers sell their purchases on again immediately after they get them, hoping to get better price?
i can picture a guy getting his latest e-bay purchase then re-offering it on e-bay again. he's already got the packing so he reseals it and changes the address when he gets a new buyer.
or am i just being miserly at christmas time?

9 months ago I took out a loan from sallie mae for 10,000. Recently my husband called them to find out the balance on the loan because (grrrrrrr) they dont put the balance on the statements. We came to find out that they tackled another $800 for insurance!! My balance is now 11,416!! None of the 280 bucks we have been paying on it has even taken care of part of the loan!! Does anyone know of a different company that I could switch my outrgaeous loan to with a decent interest rate? Your help is appreciated!

Our company switches from performance based to profit based salary increases whenever they please. I have not had an increase in the last two years because business has been slow. If I have no influence on turnover whatsoever and feel that the advertising and marketing has not been up to standard, which is handled by the Director, can I seek compensation for employee neglect as to work performance? There are no new business managers to generate new sales and we rely only on what comes in.

I recently hired a contractor to trim tree branches and do general shrubbery clean up. When I came home, he had gone and there were deep ruts in the lawn caused by his heavy equipment (about 8 inches (20 cm) wide, 6 inches (15 cm) deep and 20 feet (7 meters) long. If that weren't bad enough, his truck also cracked the blacktop in my driveway. I call him and expressed my concern. He said he can't be held responsible for how soft the ground is or the quality of paving in my driveway.

I wanted to know how I should proceed with this (i.e. make him repair the damage, sue him, repair the damage out of my own pocket, forget it, etc.). Thanks.

You hear all the time not to give yiour social security # to ANYONE, but usually when I deal with a business, that's one of the first questions thay ask. I alway respond "Why do you need to know that?" The usual response is something along the lines of "To confirm your identity" or "To make sure you are the person with which we are dealing."

So what's the scoop? Is there anyone that it's okay to give this information such as utility companies?

Real money has a long history. It is used everywhere, printed by authorities and used by people. it could be traded and exchanged. Similarly Internet Money could be a useful tool if some big names start to circulate their money. e.g. Y!$, MS$, G$. Yahoo! Answers has a system of points which could be adjusted to better fit the function of money. And maybe soon we can download a music by these points(Y!$) or exchange it with MS$ to buy software.

I have experienced a holiday from hell with expedia travel. The first hotel room was described as superior with bath...have never seen anything as filthy, stains on towels, holes in carpet, broken furniture...disaster!!Then they sent us to another hotel...all went wrong as well and it didn't have any of our requirements. Then I got charged for both hotels. That was in April...i have been calling expedia since and they always say that refund is in process and they will get back to me & they NEVER do. Their service is appalling and I want to do something about it - PLEASE HELP!
