I have a declared interest in this one - I work in supply chain security. I'm supposed to know all the answers but manifestly I don't. Is it dirty bombs in sea freight containers? Is it general stupidity allowing another group of hijackings like 9/11? Will it be coercion by kidnap. Where will be the hotspots? I'd really like to see what other people think. Even, are we taking it too far (my feeling is probably yes in we're applying it with a trowel and not using our intelligence to target risk).
I see, almost daily, new supply chain security initaitives - and they're all very similar, very onerous, very bureaucratic and definitely one-size-fits-all. What would be a better approach? Do we need security at all?
Love to hear from you!
