I have just begun working for a company that sells bath and body products, wholesale & retail. The business has not previously kept hard copies of invoices, filed numerically, anywhere. I would like to begin doing this. They do not want to have to "print" all of these invoices every day. How can I communicate to them why it is important to have a file of all invoices in hard copy form? Is it important? I have always kept invoices this way. please advise.

I work in a returns department where it is frequently my responsibility to handle customer returns and/or replacements.

In this one incident a replacement was required. So I followed my company's policy and shipped a replacement to the customer after viewing my records for the right item and conversating with the customer, dictating the items that were to be custom made and replaced over the phone.
Now the bomb, the day the customer receives the replacements I receive a fax stating that they were wrong, after conversating with the customer and personally seeing to the production of the custom made item myself.
Dont have clue of what to do next. Help!

Is this correct

1) Purchase order (PO): Goes from customer to vendor.
2) Sales order (SO): Goes from vendor to customer
3) Invoice: Goes from vendor to customer

4) The order in which this happens is PO>SO>Invoice

Are statements 1,2,3,4 correct?
What is the difference between a SO and an Invoice?

Thank you

A friend of mine is currently having trouble with a deposit she put down on a bed. She postponed the delivery, after putting $100 down, and then was not able to get in touch with the person. When she finally did get in touch with her, she asked for her deposit back, saying she didn't want to deal with such an unreliable company that you couldn't even get in touch with. The woman basically said she was beat for her money, and has refused to give my friend her last name, or the name and phone number of her supervisor. My friend has no other person to contact about this, and has pretty much given up hope of receiving her money back. Is there any other course of action she could take??

I have a good idea, but not a lot of money. I don't expect my idea will make me rich but certainly will help pet owners keep their animals more healthy. I have contacted a few patent companies and they want you to write down your idea, mail it to them a few thousand miles away, and kiss it goodbye. Does anyone have experience with this, know how to do it the right way, and any idea how much it will cost?

I've been a self-employed contractor for nearly 5 years and have loved every minute of it. I'm now contracting at a company and am considering going permanent for personal and professional reasons.

From a financial point of view, are there any disadvantages to leaving my own Ltd company and becoming an employee (except tax etc)?
