go to your bank and give the sort code and they will tell you which bank it is had similar problem when close friend wanted money for wedding present cash for the honeymoon and they just gave the bk code and ac.no my bank wanted £35 just to pay into this account because it was a different bank ,,,were not all crooks maybe the bank £35 just to pay cash into another bank don't think so..ended up just giving them the cash
