I sold an item on ebay on Saturday, and I shipped it out to him, USPS-Parcel Post, on Tuesday. Now he is emailing me about the tracking number.

Do you buy a tracking number? We never agreed, and nowhere on the auction did I say anything about tracking, but since this is my first sale, I don't know what to do. I shipped it without buying anything else (apart from bubble wrap and the box.) Where do I get the tracking number? Does the package even have one? Are you supposed to pay extra for it? If my package doesn't have a tracking number, then what information can I give him so he knows I sent it? Please help, since he wants a response by the end of today, it's pretty urgent.

She has voicemail for her business, which then sends an alert to her cell phone. In addition, she gets messages on her cell, and that mailbox is always full. Finally, her home number mailbox is always full. How to integrate these three. She cannot have her clients calling her home number, though.

Last December my boiler broke. Someone from Valliant came round to fix it. I gave the company my credit card number and presumed I had paid the £200 bill. I have just received a letter saying that due to an internal error on their part, the money was not taken out of my account. Do I still have to pay?

My husband said that he saw on CNN that we are about to go into a recession because even though the stock market was way up last month, sales for October were way down.

What effect will this have on the average American and what kinds of changes and prices will we see and on what kinds of items?

Please give me as detailed an answer as possible. I am truly interested in this.

Thanks in advance!

I already had a service provider, but I signed up for AOL temporarily so I could talk my mom through "that scary internet thing." I figured I'd pay it for a month or two until she got the hang of hers, and then cancel. We've all heard the horror stories about quiting, so I'll just say that those folks are right.

But I just got a letter from a collection agency?! What? On behalf of AOL for deliquent payments. I haven't received any bill or call or anything on their part, just this. My only solace came in stumbling across folks with the same problem (http://www.consumeraffairs.com/internet/aol_cancel.html) so at least I know it's not a fluke occurrance.

I'm afraid this is going to ruin my credit rating, and I haven't done anything wrong. What can I do to fix this? Should I really just pay this phony charge and hope that's finally the end of it?
