We want to have a business card exchange at our company . We heard that no one shows up. I need new fresh fun ideas to get people to come to a business card exhange. I want them to have a good time networking.

I think the focus on making it a "good time" is off target.

My decision to attend something like this is based on How it would be relevant to me or my business. Convince me that attending it would be worth my time.

Will I be likely to meet anyone who will be helpful to me professionally? Or, am I just getting myself onto a bunch of sales calling lists? Or worse, most people there just use it as a variation of speed dating.

You should have food and drinks. If there's no budget, maybe have one of the businesses be a bar or restaurant and get them to host and cater it. Then have another businessperson who's a vocalist, magician or comedian. You'll have to do some smooth talking but that's what our chamber of commerce does, and it brings in a lot of people. They call it "business after hours".
