I understand that for every transaction there are two actions: Debit & Credit to be entered on an individual account.

What I can't get my head around is how do you work out which account is Debited and which one is Credited!

Does anyone have a SIMPLE way of helping me learn this?!

Many thanks!

So I was sitting in my room today thinking about what to get my friend for her birthday, so I asked my mom if she could give me some money. My mom handed me one of the checks I got for my birthday and said "Go cash this." I gave no thought to it whatsoever, until right now when I'm about to leave for her house. I realized that I do not know how to cash a check.

I've seen plenty of people do it before. All you do is sign the back, then show them your license, right?

I was at the Starbucks Shop located within the Red Lion Hotel in Elko Nevada on Sunday October 15, 2006 at 3:45 pm, where I orderd a grande size green tea. I gave my Starbucks credit card for payment. I know that the last time I had used the card it had a little over a $21.00 dollar balance. The female clerk taking my order and card fidgeted with the credit card computer which was a separate device from the computer cash register. The tea cost was a $1.81. I asked for a receipt which indicated I only had a $3.99 balaance. I did not have the previous receipt so had no evidence to present with which to argue with the clerk about my drastically redeced balance. I believe she deliberately shortchanged me but how it could benefit her, I have no explanation as I am not versed in how that may have been accomplished.. I am only bring this to the attention of the Starbucks Corporation in the event this is happening elsewhere and they may stop it before we, as consumers, loose confidence .

i was in the new nightclub last night i went to the bar and asked how much half a lager was
the girl. she told me £1.40
i said ok then i'll have one

she got me the lager and i gave her a five pound note but she only gave me 10p change.
claiming i gave her £1.50 which i couldnt of done since i had no change.

i asked to see a manager but the "celebrity guest" had just arrived at the club so the managers were too busy kissing his ****.

i waited 20 minutes before i went as i was desperate for the toilet.

this really ruined the rest of my night.
i know the names of both people on the bar.

I have asked a similar question yesterday but now have all the facts from my friend.
"I worked for a small company in A/C Engineering which was taken over 2 years ago. At the time of the takeover our employment contracts were honoured fully under an employment protection act. I believe this was a TUPE Agreement.
My employer now 2 years later has told us our present contract has now expired under TUPE and we need to sign new contracts.
My original contract is a permanent contract.
The new contract we have been issued reduces holiday from 25 days to 20 days, reduce sick pay from 6months full pay to 10 days SSP only, reduces overtime to basic rate of pay.
Do i have to agree to this kind of contract change?"

We would be very grateful for any advice offered .

Am so lucky, have received 5 different e-mails in the last 10 days all stating I have won big money. They have come from the U.K., and all from different people and none so far asking for any up front fees or bank details. One however tonight has, she claims to be on deathbed and has husbands money of some $20mill+ that she wants to transfer to my account for sick kids and the disadvantaged for me to distribute for her when she passes. My question where do you send these scams for somebody to deal with? Is there an Aussie consumer affairs site or something you can send these e-mails to for them to checkout? Many thanx, and have good night all.

It seems if countries sell goods to the US at below cost, the US consumer benefits. With unemployment well below 5% in the US, it doesn't seem to be affecting people's ability to earn a living. Obviously, though, I am missing something. What is it that makes dumping so bad?

I use PC banking. If I make a payment to my credit card, as soon as i hit 'enter', the money is effectively gone from my account.
But, If i dont give the payment 4 _working_ days to clear, my credit card company will charge me a 'late fee', for not paying up on time!!

What the heck do they do with the payment? print it off and send it by canal barge to the credit company?

I need a large consignment of mood beams to send abroad.
Does anyone know of a toy wholesaler or online store where I can buy from?
Have tried the usual searches on kelkoo/pricerunner etc and it just comes up with sites like firebox/gadget store etc. These places are too expensive to buy from.
