Yes, but you need to be careful and do your homework before you decide on a company.

I work for U-Pack Moving, and I believe our company to be very honest and reputable.

You can check customer reviews of U-Pack (and other companies) on Moving Scam, Epinions and BBB Online.

Bekins is very good, but kind of expensive. It would make a difference if you are going across town or across the country.

I've also heard that 2 Men and a Truck are good here in Florida, but in SC they weren't. Depends on the local franchise with a lot of the companies.

Northeast Movers is great, if you live in the Northeast. I don't know of any other ones that are good, but I can tell you 2 that are bad - Mayflower & United. If I move again I was thinking of researching Allied.
