anyway I bought a lcd tv from costco, and i seemd to have misplaced it, is it still possible to bring it in and get my money back or do i need my receipt? what are the conditions behind this? thanks in advance mike

Take the TV in and ask at the service desk for them to look it up for you. It is a benefit of membership. If you know the date of purchase that will help them. As long as you purchased it on your own membership card, you should be fine.

When you get to the door, show your card, explain the TV is a return and they'll give you a sticker to go to the service desk.

You can call ahead and confirm, but this is how I think it works at Costco. I've been able to get duplicate receipts, after the fact when I was tying to get reimbursement for items i had bought for someone else there. They are great at customer service.

As long as you're within the warranty period, you'll be fine.

I would think that since it requires a membership card which is swiped at the time of purchase, they would have a record of the transactions. You can probably ask them if they can reprint the receipt or use the record for a return/refund. If this does not work/help, sell it off on ebay ;)
