Say you sold a book on Amazon and shipped it off to the buyer. The buyer never receives it in all probability due to the item being lost in the mail.

What should the seller do? It's not his fault that USPS lost it. He has the receipt.

What should he do?

Normally it has to have insurance. Contact the USPS, they could track the item where it went, from point A to point B and it has to have a signature of the receiver.

File a complaint with USPS and get the report as it is unfolding.
