I'm more familiar with saying I GOT THIS FOR 2 G's ($2,000)... however this morning i came across an episode of The Sopranos and Vito tells Tony Soprano "I'll give you 200K ($200,000) and no one has to know about it."

If "G" stands for GRAND as in 2G's which would be $2,000... then what does "K" stand for?
