I am 5 weeks pregnant. I purchased geisinger ins Jan 1st 2007 and then dropped it Jan 31st 2007 since there maturnity coverage was horrible! My hubby has had the same ins for years Blue Cross / Blue Shield. His boss pays for his ins 100% due to my hubbys requests to work for there company. I bought geisinger ins b/c it was cheaper for me to have induvidual through geisinger than to have a fmily plan through his work... about 800$!!! plus...we didnt think we would get so lucky on conceiving so fast :) we are blessed... moving on... He added me on Feb 1st 2006 and I am covered 100% and everything will be covered 100%. He just got a fabulous job offer 75k plus a yr. The new corp has the BC/BS Ins also. Will I be covered? I called BC/BS and they said if the plan is group I will be covered which it will be since its a HUGE CORPORATION... although what about the waiting period for Ins at a new job if there is one we arent sure yet, just being prepared.... any advise?

Ok I am a little over 5 weeks pregnant. I found out and immediately called my health insurance since it wasnt great coverage and found out what they cover for maturnity. Well lets just say geisinger induvidual plans suck for maturnity. So I dropped that and am now covered on my hubbys Blue Cross Blue Sheild Plan and they cover 100%. I have been covered since Feb 1st. Now my hubby was just offered a wonderful job makin 75,000 plus a year! Just wondering what happens with the whole health ins stuff. Will I be covered if he takes this new job?The new company is very well know corp. all over the USA and it is Blue Cross ins also since one of our good freinds offered him the position he told us this. But how does the whole switching insurances go?Just concerned since i have all of these dr appts coming up and wondering will they be covered if he takes this job in the next month or so?

My husband voluntarily left his company last Oct. We have been paying the COBRA since then but the company will not release the payment updates to the insurance company and we have been without insurance since then. I have already involved the Dept of Labor and the company (Nuvox Communications) just lied to the fed and told him everything would be released. My husband is diabetic and my toddler has epilepsy. What options do I have now?

I am trying to understand what factors affect the rates that a surgeon will pay for malpractice insurance. Do new surgeons start at the same rate? What effect does a lawsuit have on a doctors rates? If a surgeon is sued, and the case is tossed out, does this affect their rates? What if they lose the case? Or if they settle out of court?

I am trying to find out what effects the rates a doctor is charged and how if there premiums will go down for good behaviour over time.

I do not have receipts and I do not have video but I do have pictures of the items (from various things). Can I use this for my claim? I had pipes freeze and burst and the items were damaged but I threw them out because they were so gross. I didn't think to file a claim til my landlord mentioned it but the items were already picked up by my garbage company. Any suggestions?

We were just notified that one our houses, (we are trying to sell it) has just flooded from frozen pipes. I, fortuntely, have never had to file an insurance claim ever. Do we call ins. first, or do we get estimates caused by the damage or do we just start repairing? What role does the ins company play?

I wanted to have my wedding outside on the campus of my university but they are wanting us to take a million dollar insurance policy for just that day. Would it be worth it for me to do this and how much would it cost? Any help would be nice. Thanks.

I am currently an independent life agent. I have been thinking about getting my P&C this year. As an independent, which I would want to remain, what could I do with it? Will some company let me write auto (for example) as an independent?

I was trying to get covered by a doctor (need to see doctor before I can get surgery), but when he called my insurance company he said that I had a deductible so I had to pay out-of-pocket. What the heck does that mean? If I don't pay the full deductible will they deny me for surgery? Is the guy just not covered? I thought you had a full year to pay! What can I do? (Paying O.O.P anyway)

I've had Allstate for more than 5 years for home and auto. The rates have continually gone up. I just contacted Liberty Mutual. They can save me over $500 per year with the same or better coverage. Any opinions, thoughts or advice?
