As a P&C agent, you would be able to sell your clients auto and homeowners insurance, among others. If you deal with commercial clients, you can sell them Workers' comp and liability insurance.
I find it difficult to be knowledgeable in all areas and prefer to stay inside my specialty and refer my P&C business to a P&C Professional.

I think the best thing you could do is apply for a job with an independent brokerage/agency. This way you can really learn what it takes to be successful before you go out on your own. Plus as a newly licensed broker there are no companies that will be willing to write you E&O coverage.
So, take a job for a few years, get your feet nice and wet, and when you feel good about your skills and knowledge base start your own agency.

There are a lot of companies that will appoint an independant to write property & casualty insurance for them, it's a good way to round out your profession.

Try finishing some missions until you can buy an old abandon airport (it comes in a mission), there will be teach by some tricks and how to take-off and landing, if you can those lessons, your aircraft skill will boost it up so you can have an aircraft license

If you ONLY want to write auto, Progressive is the perfect company for that. If you want to write substandard homeowners, Foremost would be the equivilent.
You can also submit aps to your state fair plan, state workers comp pool, or write surplus lines through a wholesaler.

once you get appointed you can write for the company. you can write auto, home, dwellings, vacants, boats, trailers, motorcycles, manufactured homes, etc.... good license to have
