No. It will never cover an automobile. Renters would cover theft of personal property in your car (that is not part of the car), such as if you left a briefcase or purse in your car. It would be subject to a deductible.

No, renters insurance only covers the contents inside the rental unit. Your car insurance will cover your car, hence it is called CAR insurance.

Sorry to say, that your renters insurance only covers things in your apartment. Your car insurance is quite seperate.

Your renters insurance is only for anything inside your apartment, you will need to change your car insurance to get better coverage.

Renters (or homeowners) insurance will never cover your car. There is a specific exclusion in the policy that addresses this. If you want coverage for damage to your vehicle you have to purchase it on your auto policy.

I believe if your car gets damaged while parked in front of your apartment, the renter's insurance may cover it, but the only thing that will cover your car from an accident is car insurance.

Renters insurance covers your belongings inside your home. Since I doubt your car is kept under your bed or inside your closet, you can not cover anything related to your car under your renter's insurance.

Most renters policies have what they call "inland marine" coverage on your personal property. Put simply, it will cover your personal property anywhere in the U.S. So if your car were broken into, your personal belonings in the car would be covered, but not the car itself.
