I either want to be a chef and own my own business, be a beautician/cosmotologist and own my own business or be a beauty editor for a magazine. Can you tell me which one I would make the most money on? Thanks.

Would it be through work experience with a dive group, and practicing and meeting the right people, or are there schools for this type of thing? I always think that hands on is better than academic, however I was just wondering.

Thanks.

I was fired from my last job about three months ago, haven't found another one yet. My last boss wasn't exactly the best person to work with. Some of the things he did include:
-Humiliate me in front of the staff and vendors
-Threatened to demote me if I ever called in sick
-Ordered me to violate the company's safety policy (BTW he was also Safety Coordinator)
-Lied to me on a daily basis
-Do random cleanings of my desk, in which he threw out projects I was working on (One of the reasons I was told I was being fired is because projects wern't being finished)
-Refused to listen to me when I told him I was having trouble with some aspects of my job
-Would refuse to answer my questions and when I proceeded to do things on my own, he would tell me I was wrong
-Constantly called me a failure

I see other people say "put a positive twist on your firing", but how can you do that when there is no positive to all of what I just said?

Ok well my new job that I'm working at is also my first job. I have been scheduled to work 47 hours in the next week and three days, but I am a high school student and I'm and just being trained. This is my very first week at any kind of job and they are making me work 47 hours...I talked to some of my friends and the hours that are given to high school students at their jobs are 15-30 hours, and 30 and up is usually given to full time employees.
When I applied for this job I said I wanted to work part time on the application, and I really don't think its fair that they are giving 47 hours while I am training.
Do I have a right to complain? Or would they be mad and fire me?

I started my job 2 months ago and it's A LOT to learn. Sometimes I feel like my coworker/boss gets annoyed that I ask a lot of questions, however, when I don't ask questions and make a minor mistake, they get upset that I didn't ask. At 2 months, is it generally acceptable for new employees to be asking questions? I have a ton to learn and lots of responsibilities.

My boss is one of those people who loves to talk about herself. She never really asks how anyone else is doing, but loves to talk about herself. But that's not my problem. My problem is that I don't think she has any respect for me. My biggest clue to this is that she never listens to me (if I ask her a question, she often simply doesn't answer. Not in a blatantly rude way, but as though she just isn't paying attention to me at all). Or, even worse, if I am talking to her along with a co-worker, she NEVER looks at me. She only looks at my co-worker. It's like I'm not even in the room-- it's that bad. My co-worker often comes to work late, has called in sick without reason, and just recently started her job (around the same time I did). Arguably, her job is more necessary than mine. The company needs her more than they need me. But don't I deserve at least a little respect? I'm a naturally quiet person- is this my problem? Is that why people walk all over me? What should I do?

How do I ask what their looking for, or why they don't think I'm right for the job?

Okay here is the situation. I found an employer that gave me a project/job with AIG. So basically, I work for AIG, AIG pays my employer, and the employer pays me. So first of all, I started working 3 days ago, but the employer still hasn't given me any forms to fill out in order to have it in writing that I'm working through them. They haven't given me a time sheet nor a I-9 form or any form that I have to sign for about the wage they told me. One of the girls who is also in the same position as me e-mailed the employer about getting paid, employer forms, etc. And this is the response the guy gave us:

You will be temporary contract employee and will be paid accordingly every 15 days. No benefits for temporary contract workers. You will be paid for the hours you worked and approved by the Client Manager. Any overtime will be paid at the same rate.

We will discuss about the rates for the time you worked at our office.

Hi, I am a teenage girl looking for a job to get over the school year and I was wondering what kind of jobs (if any) I could get a car dealership? I LOVE being around cars and I think I would have a lot of fun being there every day. It doesn't have to be with cars, but can you be a cashier or something?

I would love ANY advice, and if it helps I like Ford the best.

I recently got a job in customer service and I'm so nervous each time I go to work. I'm really shy and I'm not really good with interacting with people. I'm scared that I'll mess up and the people will get mad at me. I've been training for 3 days and I still can't get things right and my boss tells me that I'm making a lot of mistakes. I feel like I'm too shy for this job or any other job out there. I really wish I could get over my shyness and just be good at my job...
