Search careerbuilder.com "telecommute" "work at home" etc. not all will be "jobs" as REAL jobs do not cost but you will find some good one's. For example, AT&T has posted, as well as several travel agencies & airlines.

No money needed but you must work at least 20 hours to make money. Average pay is $7.20 - $14 hour. I know, I know its like work but at least you are working from home, creating your own schedule, leaving off high gas prices and stressful traffic.
Stay open-minded!!! And research, research, research!!!

There are many great legit opportunities to make money online. You just have to do your research. You NEVER have to pay someone for them to pay you. I am currently a stay at home mom and was in desperate need of supplementing my husbands income. If you go to my website, you will see how and how much money I make on a monthly basis. And don't worry I nor the company I work for will EVER ask you for any money. You have nothing to lose. If you have any questions, please don't hesistate to email me or leave a comment on my page. I would be more then happy to help you.

This area is ripe for scams, and most are.
I've linked to a page about work at home opportunities from radio consumer advocate Clark Howard.
On a recent episode, he said becoming a call center rep from at home is a good bet if you have the talent for that sort of thing. It's cheaper for the companies to set you up that way, then to house big call centers.
Good luck.

I've worked at home for the past 4 years. No scam, not a business opportunity like Avon or selling products. One of the companies I work for just started charging a $30 background check fee, but they didn't do that when I started. I've stuck with 2 companies for this long and can assure you that they aren't scams. Email me personally if you're interested. (I can't post the names here on a public board because I have a contract with them) melissa@homeEDdirectory.com

Some sites I recently found have the potential to do exactly what you are looking for, and you can do it wheneve you have free time, read a review of some "Get Paid To" sites that I did.
Within hours of joining, no credit card or any cost, just your name and email, and you'll be earning money. I sure did and do.
You won't make enough for your spouse to stay home too, but some extra money each month isn''t bad.
My review is at http://www.thegetpaid2review.com

Please beware....I work in fraud prevention and run into people like you everyday who got jobs working from home and had no clue what they got involved with.
What ever you do -- DO NOT re-ship products for people no matter what their story is or how much they pay you...It's a scam and youre aiding fraudsters... And it's illegal and you can be held liable for all shipments you accept and reship.
Also, never ever accept or transfer money for anyone.
Be careful
