I'm going to graduate a year early (hopefully),but I don't want to go to college. What is a good paying long term job that I could get, that would eventually allow me to buy a house and have a family and allow me to be financially stable.

So, I'm a guy thinking of shaving his head to raise money for cancer research. I think this is a good cause, but have a few questions about it that I'm hoping someone can answer.

I am a bit apprehensive about how an employer would react to this. Would an employer have an objection to an employee doing this? I would imagine that since it is for charity an employer would not have a problem. Plus, it could be good PR for them. Has anyone experience any problems with their employer on this issue? If so, how did you deal with that issue? What was the end result? For those of you who did this, how were the reactions in the office afterwards?

Thanks for your help.

I applied for a job both at a restaurant and then a retail clothing store on the same day. I was scheduled for a "group interview" at the retail store for Sunday, but received a call for the higher paying restaurant position Saturday. Should I, out of courtesy attend this interview at the retail store and tell them I was hired for a different job? If so, how would I go about telling them this?

My boyfriend got hired in seasonally for Walmart in electronics. Then he got hired in for part time.

We talked about moving in together in about a year. This comming june he was going to go get a CDL license (trucking license). Now he says he wants to forget that and keep working at Walmart!

Truckers make 20.00 and hour starting out! I don't get it? It's something he said he really wanted to do, also something I encouraged him to do. He wants me to stay at home after I have kids in the future. How can we make enough money if I don't work and only he does on 7 an hour???

He also hates school... so any schooling is probably out of the question.

Also he loves fixing computers.. he's really good at it but had no training. So any careers that he could make alot doing that?? With no schooling??? What would they be???

I applied for a job. The HR office mailed and asked me to fill an application data form (Demographic data such as race, origin of birth, military status)

They claimed after they received the demogrpahic data. They will review my application.

Since I have applied for the job. I have been updated my resume. Should I send the new resume, cover letter, and references to them? Do you think I have a chance? Please advice. Thank you

The way I see it, I only want a job for the money. I don't really have an avid interest in anything besides video games, and cars. But from what I see, I don't really want to be a video game programmer or a car mechanic. Both aren't that great paying or exactly something to be proud of.

So is it wrong to want a high paying job, just because of the salary?

I have been unemployed since January. I have applied for 300 jobs, attended over 20 interviews and registered with many agencies for a variety of jobs with no success. I haven't managed to get an interview for nearly 2 months, and I am now extremely worried about my life prospects. Is there any hope for me?

Here is the situation. I am a Data Analyst with over 9 years experience, and my salary is only 40% of what the average is. I always find and fix problems that save the company well over what they pay me. I have recently discovered $279,000 in over-billings to our company that I am cleaning up, and they are aware of, but I was not given a raise. I just discovered $150,000 in other undiscovered "overbillings" to our company that I have not told anyone about yet. I am debating if I should kind of blackmale them and use that to get a raise. I know it's not right to blackmale, but it's not right for them to pay me only 40% of what my salary should be when I'm doing this type of work for them, that only someone with 9 years experience for them would discover. The overbillings are unnoticed by them because it matches what the expected billings are, but I have discovered that the expected billings are incorrect. Should I blackmale them and use this to get a raise?

I have been working for this company for last 3 years and handling all projects on my own. I have 6 people under me. Last month my boss recruited one person above me who has no idea of the work. He has a different background. Now, I have to report to him even if he doesn't understand the details of my work. Sometimes he asks stupid & irratic questions. I started feeling frustrated. Its humilation for me to work under such a person.
Now, I am thinking of quiting. Am I making a right decision?

Please help!!
