I just got a job offer through e-mail from an interview I went on a few weeks ago. I am supposed to reply that I will be accepting the job, can you give me an example of a professional way to do this? Thanks.

First off, was there any mention of the salary or the start date? If so, you should include that as well as any other pertinent information. For example:

Dear Name:

I was very pleased to get your e-mail of 00/00/07 in which you offered me the position of (job title) at (name of company) for a salary of (amount) per year. I am happy to accept this offer, and I am looking forward to starting on (date).

Please let me know if you need any information to expedite the hiring process, or if you have any questions. I can be reached at (contact information).

Thank you for your time and attention.

Sincerely,

name

Just a word of warning; email is great...but it is not good when it comes to negotiations. Request that you have a letter with the same information snail mailed to you, in the matter. It will be confirmation. THEN you respond by email and snail mail about the job offer. Never be too anxious to jump into a new job. Even IF you get the offer, you have to make some clarifications before you accept, and you still have to give your present company two weeks notice that you are leaving. That is what professionals do. That's why the old saying still fits...the job is never finished, until the paperwork is done!
