I started at Papa Johns 4 days ago, my HS diploma says I deserve more than 6.50 an hour. I am applying at several jobs, an will quit as soon as possible, my question is how should I quit...

Should I just say, Ayo I quit, or write a letter, what?

When you get a job with better opportunity and growth prospects, you should give a resignation letter telling them that because of higher post and better opportunity you are joining another company

First off, I am an unemployed man and have not worked since March! Now, you say your diploma says more then $6.50 per hour. Where does it say that on any diploma? This is likely your first job, isn't it? Learn from it and understand that working for someone, especially just out of high school, you are not going to make $15 per hour! Step back and think about this before you say.."I Quit!"

If they are paying you minimum wage that is all most restaurants will pay...anyway, if you find a better paying job then do the right thing and give written notice that you are leaving in 2 weeks. Seems like a hasty decision to only work there 4 days then quit...you must have been told the salary before you started, so if you felt it was inadequate you shouldn't have accepted the job.

You have a few life lessons to learn..
I doubt your high school diploma has a this guy deserves more than the other unskilled workers..

If you want to get ahead in life ,You need to look at this differently..District managers and owners started where you are now and make 5 and 6 figure incomes some even 7 figures " that's millions of dollars per year.

I would go to whoever hired me and say that you don't think the job is a good fit for you. If they ask you why, tell them it's the money. I don't know what you think is a fare wage, but someone out of high school is only making $7.50-$8.00 an hour for a service job like that.
Ask your manager if he needs a two week notice or not. Most likely he'll let you bail right then and there.

first find another job and see if you like that one better, then just stop showinn up to papas who cares.. you cant use it as a reference because youve only been there for a few days if you think you may want to go back there give him a weeks notice or just tell him you found a better job.. no need for a letter just call or tell them in person or simply dont show up for your shifts.

once you know you have a better paying job for sure in writing, then write a brief sentence or two to let papa johns know you have found different employment. allow them to either let you go that day or stay for a week or two weeks.
you dont want to be rude because you never know if you will a job at papa johns in the future. never 'burn your bridges' because you never know who you will need in the future.

I don't think that a Papa John's job necessarily requires written resignation. But you should give your manager as much notice as possible. Two weeks is standard.

The commonly acceptable way, is to advise your current employer 2 weeks in advance, that you intend to terminate your employment.
It can be done in writing or just verbally.
Also, if it is done in writing, you can hand the written notice of intent to quit, to the store manager.
The written notice is better, if you wish to explain fully why your employment with them is not satisfactory.
In either case, you will more likely receive a better reference from that store manager, if you gave him 2 weeks advance notice.

whether you want to wait til you find another job or not whenever your ready to leave just tell them either you won't be comming back anymore or you found a better paying job..Those places have a high turn-over rate..People quit like you all the time..Just remember if you wanna call the manager instead of quitting in person ask about how and when you can get paid for the work you did..
