I have been renting a 3 bedroom house for 6 months now, we have a one year lease. My landlord recently told me that when he rented me the place he was almost in foreclosure and now he wants the rent a little earlier than the usual (the 15th) because he fears he will "lose the house."

Needless to say, I am concerend. I don't want to pay him if he is losing the house. I also have paid on time since Day One and worry that he will lose the house and then I will be thrown out...I am in NY, anyone have any advice...

Please don't give me the definition of put opions or call options and please dont tell me that they just do make money i want a detaiuled explanation as well as an example. Thanks

Has anyone heard of, know of, or believe in settling with a creditor with the settlement stating that they wont respond to the credit bureaus inquiry? Do creditors engage in this type of settlement?

If you have proof in writing, what can you do if they fail to do so?

Is this possible? Is it against the law?

What do you guys think?

I'd like to meet some other investors in person, just to have a beer with and exchange views. We could even make an investment club or something like that, where we pool our resources and knowledge, You may all have something like that already, unfortunately I don't, hehe. I wouldn't want to be the one to be in charge of those funds, BTW.

I bought a house 2 years ago. At the time I didn't even notice that there is a power pole in the backyard. Is this something I can collect rent for? I have a friend who negotiates with homeowners to put cell towers on people's properties, so I'm not sure if this is the same thing. Not that it's bothering me, but I figured if I could get a little financial help every month it would be a huge blessing. btw/I live in San Diego.

I filed a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy last year and have been on time with my payments and now I'm facing foreclosure. When they do finally foreclose on my house and sell it for less than what is owed on it, what will happen with the remaining balance owed on the property?

Will my Chapter 13 payments go up and will I be responsible for the remaining balance on the property?

I’m 16 I work at Burger King, as a cash register for the last 2 months now. During the end of my shift, the manager reported they were in short of some money out of my register about $20. And so they are making me pay it. According to manger, he says that they have been missing some money a few times (just told me today).

Why do you think? My question is, how can I resolve this problem? Also how can I isolate the problem, and how can it be prevented?

So i understand what options are, but i dont know how you can possibly make money off of put options. I understand how you can make a profit off of call options, but making money off of put options is very hard to understand. I see "beating around the bush" answers for this question everywhere. They'll give you a perfect description and thorough example of call options and then they'll give you a very crappy explanation and example of put options. It seems like everyone who explains options and are supposedly geniuses of the options world dont' even know what the hell they are talking about when it comes to Put options.

So my question is this: How can you possibly make money off of put options when they are only in the money when the underlying stock's price falls below the strike price?
