I'd like to meet some other investors in person, just to have a beer with and exchange views. We could even make an investment club or something like that, where we pool our resources and knowledge, You may all have something like that already, unfortunately I don't, hehe. I wouldn't want to be the one to be in charge of those funds, BTW.

Unfortunately someone has to be in charge of funds. Your potential club would also need some rules and regulations (guidelines) because of the involvement of money.

I don't know whether you are in the UK or not, but

is a good place to find out how to start and run such a club.

I did run an investment club in the past but found where money was concerned there was a degree of jealousy and some folk did not seem to be able to accept a majority decision. Just like the real world really!

It was good to talk to like minded folk about investing, which I found to be an advantage as when you talk to most people about the Stock Exchange and investing their eyes just seem to glaze over.

Best of luck, I hope you get what you want.

Start by putting 10% of your gross salary into your Pension ...
if that leaves any income taxed at 40%, put every penny into a SIPP (and get your 40% Tax back). Then the next 10% (or £7,000 a year, wherever is higher) into a Stocks & Shares ISA ..

Finally, if you have any spare cash left over start looking around for a Share Club (chances are, a few already exist at your work place .. ask around)

As a side issue, you may be interested in e-books and software produced by www.finysis.net. It also has a free Investment Course. Best regards.
